Soccer Game Preview: Sequoia vs. Menlo-Atherton

The Sequoia Ravens will venture away from home to square off against the Menlo-Atherton Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sequoia is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 10. Neither they nor Las Lomas could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Menlo-Atherton). They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Harbor on Saturday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Pirates are ranked 952nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sequoia's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-2. As for Menlo-Atherton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Sequoia skirted past Menlo-Atherton 2-1 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Sequoia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Menlo-Atherton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
