Basketball Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon suffered their biggest loss since November 8th on Saturday. They took a blow against the Wheeler Eagles, falling 87-55. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Case Null produced another solid performance shooting 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds for Wheeler. Thanks to that strong game, Null now owns an excellent 42.6% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Beene, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points and five boards.

Shannon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wheeler, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Shannon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 80-79 win against Okolona on the 9th. As for Wheeler, they have also already played their next game, a 75-35 victory against Jumpertown on the 9th.
