Union County had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Thursday.

Union County's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Union County is set to square off against their familiar foe Sonoraville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.8, the Phoenix 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will challenge rival Rockmart at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
