Volleyball Recap: Nevada Union Comes Up Short

Nevada Union lost against Pleasant Valley back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners fell 2-0 to the Vikings.

Nevada Union was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23.

Ava Figuly paced Nevada Union's offense, picking up five kills. Figuly got some help from Ellyse Havlorson and her eight assists.

Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 22-17. As for Pleasant Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season.

Nevada Union will venture away from home to square off against Yuba City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will welcome Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
