Softball Recap: Florence Has No Trouble Against Palmer

The Florence Huskies made easy work of the Palmer Terrors on Tuesday and carried off a 23-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Makala Miller was a standout: she fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lilly Roe was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple.

Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmer only posted an OBP of .444.

Florence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Florence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-0 win against Burlington on the 5th. As for Palmer, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Doherty at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
