Soccer Game Preview: Deer Valley vs. Antioch

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Deer Valley Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Antioch Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Deer Valley's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ygnacio Valley, sneaking past 1-0. Kiki Walker had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Antioch's and Concord's game two weeks ago was close at halftime, but Antioch turned on the heat in the second half with five goals. Antioch blew past Concord 6-0. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Antioch back to even at 4-4. As for Deer Valley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Deer Valley suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Antioch in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Deer Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
