Softball Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Widefield Gladiators

Coronado lost against Widefield last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell 7-4 to the Gladiators. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coronado saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breckyn Trujillo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Alyssa Leland also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Widefield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.
