Softball Recap: Cass' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Cass came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Hiram Hornets get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Colonels have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cass' win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Hiram, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Cass will square off against Paulding County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hiram, they will welcome Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
