Baseball Recap: Glascock County Comes Up Short

Glascock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Washington-Wilkes Tigers, falling 8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 16-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Glascock County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Buck Wheeler, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Glascock County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Washington-Wilkes, their record is now 3-5.

Coincidentally, Glascock County and Washington-Wilkes will both be playing Crawford County the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
