Baseball Game Preview: Trion Bulldogs vs. Bowdon Red Devils

The Trion Bulldogs will head out to take on the Bowdon Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Trion and Mt. Zion, and Trion kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Bowdon made easy work of Manchester on Tuesday and carried off a 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Bowdon pushed their record up to 20-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Trion, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Trion couldn't quite get it done against Bowdon when the teams last played back in March as they fell 14-10. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
