Ontario Christian piles up the points against Village Christian

Recap: Ontario Christian Knights vs. Village Christian Crusaders

The Ontario Christian Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 37 points or more this season. They breezed by Village Christian on the road to the tune of 91-50. Winning may never get old, but Ontario Christian sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Kaleena Smith was her usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with three blocks. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Ontario Christian's points. Karsen Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds.

Alanna Neale and Bryanne Lopez-wood certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Neale dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Lopez-wood scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists. The matchup was Neale's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Moriah Mosley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Village Christian were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Ontario Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Village Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario Christian will take on Rancho Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Village Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 497th, while Village Christian is ranked 20th).
