Softball Recap: Central Gwinnett Comes Up Short

Central Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Buford Wolves, falling 12-0. The Black Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Central Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Buford, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Looking ahead, Central Gwinnett will challenge Mill Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Black Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Buford, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
