Volleyball Recap: Borrego Springs Comes Up Short

Borrego Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mountain Empire Redhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Borrego Springs took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-16, 25-17.

Borrego Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Mountain Empire, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Borrego Springs will host Julian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Empire, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Campbell Hall on the 13th.
