Recap: Arroyo Dons vs. St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots
The Arroyo Dons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They snuck past St. Joseph Notre Dame with a 69-65 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Arroyo as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Arroyo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexa Adutwum, who scored 14 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adutwum has scored all season. Sophia Lopez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Arroyo's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Arroyo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hayward at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to challenge Encinal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
