Baseball Recap: Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson Ferry Christian Academy). They came out on top against the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning by a score of 9-5 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Lightning back in February, they had to take a 8-0 defeat.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy let Will Miller and Dylan Harris run wild. Miller went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Harris scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Miller posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Connor Cardinal was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Lanier Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy will square off against Cornerstone Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they will take on Pinecrest Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pinecrest Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Lanier Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
