Basketball Game Preview: Elk Creek Elks vs. Dunsmuir Tigers

The Elk Creek Elks will head out on the road to face off against the Dunsmuir Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elk Creek is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Elk Creek had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of Loyalton.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunsmuir). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Surprise Valley 45-42.

Elk Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Dunsmuir, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Elk Creek ended up a good deal behind Dunsmuir in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 32-18. Can Elk Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
