Basketball Game Preview: Castilleja Gators vs. King's Academy Knights

Castilleja is 2-8 against King's Academy since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Castilleja Gators will square off against the King's Academy Knights at 5:30 p.m. Castilleja will be strutting in after a victory while King's Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Castilleja is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mercy 61-15 on Friday. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

King's Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 43-30 to Harker on Friday.

Castilleja pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points over those games. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.

Castilleja strolled past King's Academy in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 45-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castilleja since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
