Softball Recap: Montrose Red Hawks vs. Grand Junction Tigers
Montrose lost against Grand Junction back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Hawks fell 7-2 to the Tigers. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bentley Schiller put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Jaytli Cannizzo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Grand Junction, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
