Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Antioch

The Concord Bears will take on the Antioch Panthers in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Concord and San Lorenzo faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. Neither the Bears nor the Grizzlies could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antioch). They blew past Ygnacio Valley 10-2 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 7-0.

The win got Antioch back to even at 2-2. Concord's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-3.

Concord might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Antioch in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
