Recap: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights
It was a good run, but Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Riverside Prep. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy in their matchups with the Silver Knights: they've now lost four in a row.
Riverside Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logann Ravare led the charge by scoring 24 points along with seven steals. Ravare hasn't dropped below three steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Graham, who scored 19 points along with seven steals.
Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Riverside Prep, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy is on the road again on Friday and plays the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hesperia Christian will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Riverside Prep, they will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Big Bear has now lost 18 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
