Football Recap: Rockville Falls to Wootton in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Rockville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 37-26 to the Wootton Patriots on Friday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Joshua Reid was nothing short of spectacular for Wootton: he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Those 86 rushing yards gave Reid a new career-high.

Rockville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 53-13 victory against Poolesville on the 12th. As for Wootton, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-14 defeat against Damascus on the 12th.
