Volleyball Recap: Macarena Quezada's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harmony over Boone

Harmony managed to slip by Boone the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Longhorns came up short against the Braves on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Boone scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.

Harmony's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macarena Quezada, who had seven digs and two aces. Quezada is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Boone found their leader in freshman Lucy Pastula, who had 17 digs and four assists.

Harmony's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10. As for Boone, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Harmony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boone, they will challenge Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
