If Weed wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Trinity, they should've done a better job of containing Elsie Storckman. The Trinity Wolves walked away with a 40-33 victory over the Weed Cougars on Friday thanks in part to Storckman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Weed, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-5.

Trinity and Weed should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Trinity (ranked 229th) will meet Fall River (ranked 462nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Weed will take on Etna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 635 places (209 vs. 844).
