Softball Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Roswell Hornets
Dunwoody came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Roswell Hornets. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
Alyssa Rosenkoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Dunwoody saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Deupree, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Dunwoody now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Roswell, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Coming up, Dunwoody will square off against Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Roswell, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-2 win against Norcross on the 18th.
