Softball Recap: Lindsay's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Lindsay dropped down to 7-2 on Thursday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Alva Goldbugs by a score of 1-0. The Leopards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Goldbugs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for Alva, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 31, 2024.

For Alva's part, Trinity Stevens made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Stevens has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

Coming up, Lindsay will take on Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alva, they will welcome Purcell at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
