Baseball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence 76ers. That's two games in a row now that the Scots have lost by just one run.

Walnut Ridge's record now sits at 0-3. As for Independence, their record is now 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Walnut Ridge will take on rival Eastmoor Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Independence is set to face off against their familiar foe Marion-Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
