South Fork is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They were outmatched by St. Bernard's and fell 68-4. The game marked the Cubs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ferndale came up short against Hoopa Valley on Wednesday and fell 68-61. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Fork will have to keep a close watch on Michaela Ellsmore and Olivia Gossi, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ferndale's prior game. Ellsmore posted 16 points, while Gossi had 15 points. That's the most points Gossi has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tinnley Pidgeon, who put up 11 points.

Ferndale's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for South Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
