With a playoff win on the line, Providence Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lovett Lions with a sharp 17-3 win. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Providence Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 15-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Lovett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Providence Christian Academy beat Lovett by a score of 16-4 later that day.
