Softball Game Preview: Aurora Houn Dawgs vs. Nevada Tigers

Aurora hasn't had much luck against Nevada recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Houn Dawgs will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cassville hit Aurora with a five-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Houn Dawgs lost 8-1 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Nevada came up short against Carl Junction on Wednesday, falling 23-2.

Nevada's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Aurora, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Aurora might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Nevada in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Houn Dawgs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
