Volleyball Recap: Marengo Comes Up Short

Marengo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Jefferson J-Hawks. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the J-Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

Marengo's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jefferson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Marengo will head out on the road to square off against Plano at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against North Boone on the 30th.
