Soccer Recap: Mount Paran Christian Comes Up Short

Mount Paran Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walker Wolverines. That's two games in a row now that Mount Paran Christian have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Beau Parker, who's now up to four this season.

Mount Paran Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Walker, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Mount Paran Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Whitefield Academy on the 25th. As for Walker, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Vernon's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Walker's offense will have their work cut out for them.
