Basketball Recap: Alisal Comes Up Short

If Alisal was feeling good fresh off their 72-23 takedown of Everett Alvarez last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alisal Trojans took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Watsonville Wildcatz on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcatz this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-44 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Watsonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailey Brooks, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brianna Leon, who put up seven points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Alisal's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Watsonville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

As of now, neither Alisal nor Watsonville have any future games scheduled.
