Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Greenbrier

Greenbrier entered their tilt with Hart County on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Brooke Raymond's shutout, as she gave up just eight hits.

At the plate, Greenbrier got a big performance out of Addie Thouvenot, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylyn Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Greenbrier's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hart County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenbrier will host Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolfpack 4, the Bulldogs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hart County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Washington-Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
