Softball Recap: Hawkinsville Takes a Loss

Hawkinsville had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-13 to make it nine. They lost 8-0 to the Telfair County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in August.

As for Telfair County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Telfair County's part, the team relied heavily on Hennessy Livingston, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave Livingston a new career-high.

Hawkinsville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Wheeler County on the 23rd. As for Telfair County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Wilcox County on the 23rd.
