Basketball Recap: Brookville Raiders vs. Cranberry Area Berries

There's no place like home for the Brookville Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They claimed a resounding 47-12 win over Cranberry Area at home. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for Brookville this season.

Eden Wonderling was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kerstyn Davie, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Brookville's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Cranberry Area, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookville will take on the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elk County Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Raiders in Pennsylvania (the Crusaders are ranked 54th, while the Raiders are ranked 384th). As for Cranberry Area, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Clarion Area and the Berries are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
