Basketball Recap: Jazmyn Bugg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Christian over St. Margaret's

On Tuesday, the Christian Patriots came up short against the St. Margaret's Tartans and fell 66-57. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazmyn Bugg, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maepon Johnson, who had 17 points and eight rebounds.

Christian's record now sits at 4-2. As for St. Margaret's, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian will square off against Tri-City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. As for St. Margaret's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Oaks Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Margaret's is facing Oaks Christian at the right time seeing as Oaks Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
