Softball Recap: Cairo Extends Winning Streak to Six

Cairo entered their tilt with Seminole County on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Indians 16-2. Considering the Syrupmakers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cairo's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Seminole County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Cairo will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.46 runs per game on average), something the Syrupmakers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seminole County, they will host Southwest Georgia STEM Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
