Football Recap: Sulphur Springs Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sulphur Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past Paris 38-35. The victory continues a trend for Sulphur Springs in their matchups with Paris: they've now won four in a row.

Jaxson Haire was his usual excellent self, rushing for 204 yards and five TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sulphur Springs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Paris still got an impressive performance from Tyler Heath, who threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.3% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jakabrian Record was Heath's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Sulphur Springs' record is now 6-1. As for Paris, they dropped their record down to 5-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
