Murphy had won 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 11-2 to make it 16. They walked away with a 49-40 win over the Corvian Community Cardinals. Murphy's victory was all the more impressive since the Cardinals were averaging only 14.08 points allowed on the season.
It was another big night for Cameron Clem, who rushed for 377 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. Blake Davis was another key rusher, rushing for 72 yards and one score on only six carries.

Despite the loss, Corvian Community still got an impressive performance from Tyson Douglas-Brown, who threw for 263 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 59 yards on only six carries.
Looking ahead, Murphy will square off against Starmount at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 14.5, the Rams 9.4) so any points scored will be well earned. Corvian Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
