Softball Recap: Worth County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Worth County's offense. They came up short against the Cook Hornets on Thursday, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in August.

Worth County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karlee Mathews, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Worth County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Cook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.

Looking ahead, Worth County will square off against Crisp County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cook, they will face off against Bainbridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
