            Softball Recap: Pomona Panthers vs. Green Mountain Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Pomona had lost four straight on the road, but  on Saturday they dropped down to 2-15 to make it five. They lost  16-1 to the Green Mountain Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  22-12  back in September.
As for Green Mountain, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.2 runs.
For Green Mountain's part,  Jenna Neuenschwander was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Neuenschwander was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news, Green Mountain got a  massive  performance out of  Kyla Erickson, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  three  RBI gave  Erickson a new career-high.  Beverly Starr was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pomona will  face off against  rival D'Evelyn  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Green Mountain is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Conifer  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
