Soccer Game Preview: West Ranch vs. Valencia

The West Ranch Wildcats and the Valencia Vikings will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Ranch's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Saturday, neither West Ranch nor La Salle could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Valencia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Castaic. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Coyotes are ranked 61st).

West Ranch's draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-2. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
