Softball Recap: Douglas County West Comes Up Short

Douglas County West lost against Ralston last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcon fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-3.

Bella Zach made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Douglas County West has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Ralston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Douglas County West will head out to square off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ralston, they will square off against Malcolm at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
