Escondido managed to keep up with Valley Center until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Escondido Cougars lost 3-0 to the Valley Center Jaguars. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost six in a row.

Escondido's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2. As for Valley Center, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Escondido will head out to face off against Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley Center, they are taking a road trip to challenge San Pasqual at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
