Baseball Recap: Stephenson Takes a Loss

Stephenson managed to slip by M.L. King the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars came up short against the Lions on Wednesday, falling 17-4. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Stephenson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Northern, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Northern is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Miles Allen was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Stephenson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for M.L. King, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Stephenson will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for M.L. King, they will challenge Redan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
