Baseball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles and Westerville South squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Charles had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Westerville South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

St. Charles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westerville South, they will challenge Teays Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Vikings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
