Tulelake is 9-1 against Modoc since August of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Honkers will look to defend their home pitch against the Braves at 3:00 p.m. Tulelake will be strutting in after a victory while Modoc will be coming in after a defeat.

If Modoc heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Tulelake took over last week. The Honkers walked away with a 3-1 win over Butte Valley on Thursday. Given Tulelake's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Butte Valley are ranked 63rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alex Garcia and Miguel Anthony Alcala scored all three of Tulelake's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 60 goals.

Meanwhile, Modoc's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Shasta. Modoc have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Modoc was without their leading scorer, Cache Knight, in Tuesday's matchup. With Knight sidelined, the Braves had to make some big changes to the lineup. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Mason Prewitt (75), Rylan Hughes (80), and Andres Lopez (80). The trio had averaged 41.6, 54.2, and 39.5 minutes respectively before Tuesday's contest.

Tulelake is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 66 goals over those 11 matchups. As for Modoc, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Tulelake was able to grind out a solid win over Modoc in their previous meeting last Thursday, winning 5-3. Do the Honkers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
