Basketball Game Preview: Blanchard Lions vs. Bethany Bronchos

Blanchard is 2-8 against Bethany since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Blanchard Lions will face off against the Bethany Bronchos at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Blanchard took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Noble 58-22. The match marked the Lions' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethany). They were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over Destiny Christian on Friday. The Bronchos' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Blanchard's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Bethany, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Blanchard couldn't quite finish off Bethany when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 50-48. Can Blanchard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
