Softball Recap: Social Circle Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Social Circle and Monroe Area, and Monroe Area kept the tradition alive. The Redskins took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Purple Hurricanes on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Social Circle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Monroe Area, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Social Circle will head out on the road to square off against Oconee County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monroe Area, they will face off against Winder-Barrow at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
