There's no place like home for Hatch Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Socorro Warriors 53-14 on Friday. Considering the Bears have won four matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Omar Gonzalez threw for 90 yards and two TDs. Demarcus Alaniz was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Felipe Carranza rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

The win got Hatch Valley back to even at 4-4. As for Socorro, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hatch Valley will take on rival Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 959 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Socorro is set to square off against their familiar foe Cobre at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
